Step 1: Activation of Your Green Machine Battery
Your Green Machine battery is charged in advance, but typically arrives in a deactivated state. To activate your Green Machine press the manual button located on the battery five times quickly and with a steady rhythm. The button will flash to indicate that the battery status has changed. The battery flashes in a similar fashion during both activation and deactivation, so if your Green Machine is filled with e-liquid and properly connected and appears not to work simply press the button five more times as described above to reactivate the battery.
The Green Machine Adjustable Voltage Battery has three voltage levels; 3.2V/4.0V/4.8V. The green dot on the end of your Green Machine battery indicates the position to which the metal end cap should be rotated to achieve the desired voltage, which is inscribed on the side of the cap.
Step 2: Filling Your Atomizer/Clearomizer with E-liquid
Turn the mouthpiece of your CE4/CE5 clearomizer/atomizer counterclockwise until it separates from the body of the atomizer/clearomizer. Avoid dripping e-liquid into the thin metal tube inside of your clearomizer/atomizer, as that tube accommodates air flow. While filling it helps to slightly tip your clearomizer/atomizer and roll it in your hand; this action will help the liquid to flow more quickly into the clearomizer/atomizer and will help prevent e-liquid from entering the airflow tube inside your clearomizer/atomizer. When you have reached the top fill indicator line on your clearomizer/atomizer stop filling and screw the mouthpiece back on to your CE4/CE5 clearomizer/atomizer. The CE4 is a disposable clearomizer, and CE5 is a rebuildable clearomizer in which the heating element can be replaced when it is broken. While neither the CE4 nor CE5 are warranted parts, the expected life span for each is greater than two weeks.
Step 3: Connecting/Using Your Green Machine Battery
Before you screw the activated battery and filled CE4/CE5 clearomizer/atomizer together, take a moment to inspect the mating surfaces for cleanliness. If any e-liquid or dirt is present, use a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to clean the surfaces. Allow the newly-cleaned surfaces to dry completely before reconnection. Vaporize e-liquid by inhaling through the mouthpiece while depressing the button on the battery. If your battery is activated the button will light when depressed, and when the battery is ready to be charged it will flash and your Green Machine will cease to produce vapor.
Step 4: Charging Your Green Machine Battery
When the battery is discharged your Green Machine will stop producing vapor and the manual button will flash continuously to remind you that it is the time to recharge. Disconnect your Green Machine battery from your clearomizer/atomizer and connect the battery to your USB charger. Connect the USB charger to a computer USB port or a 120 Volt adaptor to charge the battery. The manual button will remain lit while charging and the light on your USB charger will change from green to red to indicate that charging has begun. The charging time is around 2.5 hours, depending upon your charging source. When the battery is fully charged the manual button light will disappear, and the led light on the USB charger will change from red to green.
Step 5: Deactivating Your Green Machine Battery
Deactivate your battery by pressing the button five times quickly and with a steady rhythm. The button will flash to indicate that the battery is deactivated.
